Creating a local sustainable community beyond oil dependency.

Needed: 2 Litre plastic milk bottles

Hi transitioners,

I am propagating plants for my daughter's school fete and need 2 litre milk bottles to pot up the plants. I see this as a good opportunity to show reusing waste before it is recycled, as well as thinking outside the square.

I do have many plant pots, but I like to keep them for swapping plants with other gardeners, who I know will reuse them over and over. The council does not recycle plant pots.

If you can, please bring them (rinsed) to the October transition town meeting where I will pick them up.

Hi Radika,
Would rinsed longlife soy milk cartons be useful to you at all, or are they too flimsy compared to plasic?

Hmm..yes I've been looking at my soy milk cartons too, but I think they are too flimsy. All I want are the squarish 2L plastic bottles, so that I can make nice, uniform pots. :) Thanks though.
