HI Lisa - that's great - would be very happy to have a chat with you. There are already a few people in the Yarra Ranges Shire that are interested in the Transition Initiative and Councilor Tim Heenan (Mt Evelyn Ward) is a champion of Transition Towns. Brad Curtis who works for the Maroondah Council and lives in Upwey is kicking off a Transition Initiative in the Upwey area. Sue Plumb lives in Montrose and is looking for other people in that area who are interested in Transition Towns - so lots is going on. There is also a formal Transition Town training happening in Montmorency on the weekend of 17th / 18th April. I would also recommend you get hold of the Transition Town handbook - it is an inspiring read and has heaps of practical advice on how to go about this. Hope all this helps.
